Florence + The Machine’s 2009 debut Lungs is still in heavy rotation for me, so I’m pleased as punch to see that the b-sides & live material that made up the UK-only original bonus disc version of Lungs and the recent Between Two Lungs set is finally available here in the states. With the first week of spring training games in the books, it’s only appropriate that The Baseball Project returns with Vol 2. – High and Inside. As John Buccigros would say, “What The Zambonis are to hockey, The Baseball Project are to America’s Pastime.” The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn even lends guest vocals to “Don’t Call Them Twinkies” about his hometown Minnesota Twins — how cool is that?
