Belated Best of ’10: Phantogram

I never got around to sharing my Best Songs You (Maybe) Didn’t Hear list for 2010 with the internets in general in December, so I’ve decided to mine it for fresh post material in February and March. I’m posting the songs in the order in which they would have appeared in the final playlist, so if you play along at home, you’ll have heard a tidy 80-ish minutes of great music when all is said and done. First up, Phantogram.

For the life of me, I can’t remember how I first heard Phantogram, but here’s all you really need to know: ┬átheir debut album Eyelid Movies was a hypnotic shot of late-night electronic pop, and the lush “Mouthful of Diamonds” was an instant add to my list of best songs of 2010. Dig the video:

Grab Phantogram’s Eyelid Movies at iTunes & get a bonus track for your trouble. If you want to continue sampling before you buy, check out their Daytrotter session, which is available for streaming or as a free download.
