When I Fall

Steve EarleMan, Steve Earle‘s new album can’t get here quickly enough. I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive (due 4/26) is his first full disc of originals in more than 4 years, and the fact that he’s hooked up with T. Bone Burnett has sold me on it without having heard a note. While combing my iTunes library for some early morning motivation this AM, I came across this fantastic duet with his sister Stacey Earle from his 2000 opus Transcendental Blues. The song made the cut for my best of 2K list for good reason: the melody and sentiment are beautiful, and the mix of Steve’s ragged voice and Stacey’s sharp, sweet tone is fantastic:
